BigDaySite is not open yet. We are preparing it with a few pilot weddings, so what this page describes is not available to the public yet.
A private invitation for every guest
Each guest will get a link to their own events and their own arrival time. An evening guest invited from 20:00 will not see the wedding breakfast earlier in the day.
What each guest will see
When you add a guest, you choose which events they are invited to. Their private link will open a page with only those events: when to arrive, where to go, the plan for the evening and a reply form.
A guest who is not invited to the wedding breakfast will not find it on their page, in their reply form or in the calendar file they download.
Evening guests see 20:00, not the whole day
A wedding day has several parts: the bridesmaids' photos in the morning, the ceremony, drinks and family photos, the wedding breakfast with its speeches, and an evening reception where more friends join for the first dance. Your evening guests may be invited from 20:00 only.
On BigDaySite you will keep a single reception and set an arrival time of 20:00 for the evening guests. Their page, their reply confirmation and their calendar file will all show 20:00, so nobody has to remember to write a different time in a separate message. The ceremony and the wedding breakfast will not be on their page.
Check it before you send
You will be able to open the site as any guest and see exactly their page. Look at it as one of your evening guests before you share a single link.
Households and plus-ones
Guests in one household will be able to reply for each other when you allow it. You will be able to name a plus-one now or later; their place will be kept either way.
Sharing the links
On every plan you will be able to copy each guest's link and send it yourself, however you like: in a message from your own phone or a note in a card. On Essentials and Celebration, BigDaySite will also send invitations by email; read about email invitations.
Anyone who opens a forwarded link will see what that guest sees. You will be able to cancel a link at any time and give the guest a new one.
