BigDaySite

BigDaySite is not open yet. We are preparing it with a few pilot weddings, so what this page describes is not available to the public yet.

A wedding over several days

A welcome dinner, the wedding day and a brunch, each with its own guest list. Every guest will see only the days and times they are invited to.

The situation

Take a fictional weekend. Eva and Jonas marry on a Saturday in July. On Friday evening they host a welcome dinner for family and the friends who travel furthest. Saturday has the ceremony at 14:00 and a reception from 17:00, with more friends joining at 20:00. On Sunday morning the people staying nearby meet for brunch.

That is four guest lists. One shared web page would show everyone the Friday dinner and the brunch, and the evening friends would read 17:00 when they are expected at 20:00.

How you will set it up on BigDaySite

  1. Add four events: the welcome dinner, the ceremony, the reception and the brunch.
  2. Add your guests once, grouped in households if you like.
  3. For each guest, tick the events they are invited to. For the evening friends, set their arrival at the reception to 20:00.
  4. Open the site as a few different guests and read what each one will see before you share any links.

What each guest will get

A guest invited only to Saturday's evening party will see Saturday from 20:00 and nothing about Friday or Sunday. Nobody will learn about an event they are not invited to from their page, their reply form or their calendar files.

Replies you can read at a glance

You will see who is coming to each event separately, so you know how many people to book for the brunch without counting through Saturday's replies.

What it costs

Free will allow two events, so a weekend like this one will need a paid plan. Essentials will cover up to 200 invited people and five events; Celebration up to 500 people and 15 events. Each is a single payment for the wedding. See the plans
